The Stefania Salvador Jazzical Quartet
Italian singer, pianist, composer, arranger Stefania Salvador, graduated in classical piano at the Conservatory of Music in Italy, now based in London, presents with ‘The Stefania Salvador Quartet’ an international repertoire with a selection of American standards, French chanson, Italian canzone and her originals from classical to jazz towards Latin, blues, funky, swing, ballads etc. She writes the arrangements of her various musical repertoire in a ‘jazzical’ style and you can listen to it mainly in her new album ROMANCE where she wished to create a bridge between the classical world she came from and the wonderful world of jazz and improvisation. Stefania on vocal and piano is accompanied by three world class jazz musicians:
Jack Honeyborne, on jazz piano, one of the finest accompanists and the musical director for many international stars including Peggy Lee, Eartha Kitt, Sammy Davis Jn., Vera Lynn, Harry Secombe;
Enrico Tomasso, on trumpet and flugelhorn, who has played around the world with many major artists and is a three-time British Jazz Award winner. His major influence was Louis Armstrong, for whom he played at age 7;
Pete Morgan on double bass who has played with many top American and English musicians and is known for his characteristic use of the bow.

My biggest and warmest THANK YOU to my four wonderful musicians with me on Romance: Jack Honeyborne (piano & keyboard), Enrico Tomasso (trumpet & flugelhorn), David Dix (chromatic and blues harmonica) and Pete Morgan(double bass). It was a real pleasure and a great honour to sing and play the piano with them in this musical project.

JACK HONEYBORNE – the legendary UK jazz pianist
Jack Honeyborne is a legend in his own lifetime. Pianist with the famous big bands of the 50’s- Ken Mackintosh, Nat Gonella, Joe Loss and the Squadronaires. Played on numerous well-known records and accompanied stars of the day, like Alma Cogan, Johnny Ray, Ruby Murray, Anne Shelton, Harry Secombe and many more. In the late 60’s Jack lived and worked in Canada playing and singing for Canadian radio and television. During this period he also played with Sammy Davis Jnr in concert. When he came back to London continued working in television and radio; he performed in the most important theatres and in the Royal Albert Hall several times and toured with American stars such as Peggy Lee, Dick Haymes and Eartha Kitt. For over 19 years Jack was Vera Lynn’s musical director and pianist and as such travelled the world extensively, playing in all the major concert halls. Jack still plays regularly in London jazz venues and makes appearances at UK jazz festivals. In 2010 Jack released his first solo jazz piano album “Isn’t it romantic?” with a selection of his favorite songs from the Great American song book. In 2011 begins a new collaboration in DUO with Stefania Salvador, an Italian singer, pianist, composer ; in February 2012 Jack and Stefania performed in concert in Italy and recorded the first official album in duo. In 2013 Jack is starring at the piano in Dustin Hoffman film “Quartet” with Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Sheridan Smith and Michael Gambon. In 2013 he also performed in Harrods ‘Montreaux Jazz Café’ and on the 31st October 2013 performed with his Quartet in the Lancaster Ballroom at the Savoy Hotel for ‘The Prince’s Trust’.
STEFANIA SALVADOR – Italian singer, pianist, violinist, composer
Stefania Salvador is an Italian-born musician now based in London. After a very young start as a violin and piano player, Stefania has had full classical training in piano at the Conservatoire of Music. In the meantime, her interest toward jazz, blues, soul were leading Stefania to develop her personal style. Stefania is a singer, pianist, composer, songwriter. Miss Salvador’s first CD with her original songs, titled “Blue”, has been released in 2005. Further collaborations with the Italian jazz pianist Giorgio Gaslini and, amongst others: Ian Paice (Deep Purple’s drummer), Tolo Marton (classic-rock & blues guitarist), Enrico Dindo (classical cellist), and the gospel singer Cheryl Porter. In 2010 she recorded her new album “Respiro raggi di sole” (I breath sun rays) with Tolo Marton special guest on guitar (awarded the 1998 Jimi Hendrix Prize). Stefania has recently completed a live project: it’s the musical tribute “Hymne à l’Amour” dedicated to Edith Piaf – in here she performs at the piano and sings all the major hits of this unforgettable interpreter. In 2011 Stefania begins a new musical collaboration in DUO with Jack Honeyborne, the legendary UK jazz pianist and at the beginning of 2012 she will perform in Italy in duo with Jack Honeyborne in Accademic Theatre in Castelfranco Veneto. In October 2012 she recorded her new original songs for the new album “Lady Blue” still unpublished. In 2013 Stefania performed in duo with Jack Honeyborne in Harrods “Montreaux Jazz Café’ and on the 31st October 2013 performed with ‘Jack Honeyborne Quartet’ in the Lancaster Ballroom at the Savoy Hotel for ‘The Prince’s Trust’ Gala.
